Recruiting
and retaining staff
The
London Development Agency has
recently announced details of several initiatives which it is
funding in order to help you recruit
staff and advice on how to keep them happy and encourage them
to stay with you.
Click here to see a list of
the funded training projects.
One great example is the new mentoring
and masterclass programme - thanks to LDA funding
you can participate for just £100 instead of the usual £1000.
Numerous
studies have found that many staff judge companies according
to the opportunities they offer to learn and be trained.
They want to work for companies where staff are valued. They want
to work for companies that trust their staff and where work is
meaningful. All this can be achieved through training.
Training
can be a powerful motivator – even when pay isn’t
great. That isn’t an excuse to cut the wages – it’s
a powerful argument for training!
In
fact one of the frequent reasons people at all levels give for
leaving
their job is because they didn’t have a chance
to learn and develop.
Our
free toolkit takes a look at how to decide what sort of training
is most appropriate for your staff, how to evaluate training
and their individual learning styles. Click here to download
